Gracie has Rett Syndrome, a condition that almost exclusively affects girls and women.

For Gracie, Rett syndrome means not being able to communicate or move in the usual ways. It means seizures, breathing problems, difficulty eating, tremors and heart complications. She can comprehend everything normally, but is unable to express herself, except through her often-present, sunny smile.

Gracie’s life and that of her family could be transformed with some wonderful technology that’s out there and available to her, such as Eye Gaze technology. All that’s standing in the way of this transformation is money. However, at around £10,000 per piece of equipment, it’s going to be a real challenge getting hold of that money!

This is where we come in.

I’ll be donating 10% of every sale of original art to Gracie’s cause, for the foreseeable future. I’ll also be holding some auctions of pieces where the entire amount raised will go into Gracie’s fund. I’m also planning to run a sponsored half marathon for Gracie, in September 2014.
